Where are you finding them?!

For the last twelve years of my life I have been in two abusive relationships. Honestly, all of my relationships have been abusive. Some much much worse than others. I have been locked in a basement for days with no food, water, or bathroom by an ex. Been locked outside and had my car keys taken so I had to sleep in the snow, more than once. Been "given" to a man who watched as five of his friends raped me. So many more things. I obviously choose the wrong men. Who seem so kind and put together at first...

I have done a lot of self reevaluation since I left my ex after 6 years. The next time, I won't settle. I want someone to love me the same way I can love them. I want that passion, those long conversations. I want that man I can trust and know I'm truly safe with. That man that truly sees me for me because I have a lot to give. That man that isn't a narcissist and an abuser.
