How long after having your baby did you wait for family to meet them?

I plan on not letting anymore meet her until at least a month after she’s born. They’ll know when she’s born but I’m not willing to have visitors for at least a month. Maybe more. We’ll see what I’m comfortable with when she gets here.

I havnt had our baby yet but the plan is to not even tell anyone we’re in the hospital as well as not telling until a day or 2 after it’s born. That way we can have our own bonding time with the baby before we’re bombarded with visitors. As well as getting myself back together as I’m sure I will be in the hospital for plenty of hours looking a hot mess. Everyone’s different and choose what feels best for you and baby.

Well, my parents came over the day after delivery and we were staying with my in laws so they met baby the day of birth. But all teh other family met him a month or so after he was born. Just do it whenever YOU feel ready.

With my 1st everyone came to the room that day. With my second everyone came the next day. And with my third I left the hospital on thanksgiving and we went to my moms where only my immediate family was. I’m currently with #4 due in July and plan on just having them come to me this time. I don’t mind my family coming to see the baby. 🤷‍♀️

Wanted to wait for at least two weeks but my husband couldn't handle it when they told him that I needed an emergency cs so he called my mom who then told everyone🙄 and most of them did came the same day the rest but not all visited within the first week

rest of the family - a few days after we got home

My mom saw baby before i did! (She was holding one of my legs as i was pushing & saw him crowning) my sister came to the hospital that day. Extended family came over 2 weeks later; we picked a day & invited everyone over. Whoever showed up, showed up.

My mom was at the hospital and met her about an hour after she was born. My brother and grandma met her at 2 days old. The rest of my friends and family met her 2+ weeks later
