Is this too high?

I’m 8 weeks and went to the doctor and the babies heart rate was 178... Does this mean it’s a girl then? Can’t really make much out of the ultrasound it’s blurry lol but I looked online and it said the normal is up to 160.

Heart rate isn't an indication of gender

If it was too high and your dr was worried they would have said something and it’s definitely not a girl just because the heart beat is high

My first doctors appointment babies heartbeat was 171 and I’m having a boy 🤷🏼‍♀️ all those wives tales are false even though it’s fun to do them lol

My baby’s heartbeat was 170 the entire pregnancy

I have twins and one was at 179bpm and the other 162bpm at my 8 week ultrasound!

At my first ultrasound my son was 173, he is 3 weeks old and healthy today.

My sons was 179 at 9 weeks, it went down as my pregnancy progress and stay around 140-145  from 14 weeks on.

My doctor told me anything up to 180 bpm is normal.
