How can you apply for college/ scholarships.?

Do you apply for college first, or scholarship? What something that helped you get a scholarship for a undergraduate career? How do you start? Help your girl out please I’m stressed and I need to start doing something... 
btw I heard it’s not good to get grants..(I think it’s that not sure) but I heard..

There are lots of scholarships that aren’t school specific so you can apply to those at the same time as applying for colleges. Just do your research on when the deadlines are and do them based on that order. Also I don’t know where you heard grants are bad cuz I haven’t heard that to be true. Just try to avoid taking out too many loans. Grants and scholarships don’t need to be paid back where as loans do. Good luck.

I never did scholarships because my school has a military discount and my pell grant pays for my entire tuition. But idk why you think Grants are bad? They are great. It’s really no different than a scholarship.

I think you can apply to them at the same time. Some scholarships don’t require you to use at one particular college. As for grants, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with accepting grants. Pell Grant has helped me out a lot.
