Baby’s weight?

Question

Am I the only one whose CNM hasn’t said anything about how big the baby is? Am I missing something?
Every other visit she checks fundal height and says “yep on track” and sends me on my way!
How are you all finding out how big your baby is measuring? Extra ultrasounds?

I haven’t had an ultrasound since 19 weeks for anatomy scan, my midwife said I probably won’t have one again before delivery unless they’re worried about growth or position.

High risk and weekly ultrasounds or twice weekly. So, mine specifically are through that.

I had a scan at 26 weeks and baby was measuring big, so I will have another at 36 to see how big he is. I'm currently 32.

There’s no way they can tell how big baby will be right now. It’s literally a guess. I wouldn’t even call it an educated guess because of how many wrong ones I’ve seen lol.

With my 1st there was no mention. They are all about determining weight with Baby #2 because of gestational diabetes and other risks. If you are having a normal pregnancy it's probably a nonissue

I was never told with my first what the weight was, and I only just found out with this baby because I have GD and I asked them after my ultrasound out of curiosity

My doctor did an additional ultrasound only because the fundal height was measuring 2-3 farther along. He said normally he would only do the anatomy scan at 20 weeks and the 36 week one for position.

I have no idea at the moment. In 3 weeks I'll have a scan at my 36 week appointment to check weight and baby position. Not all docs do a late ultrasound though.
