About two years ago I got the paragard iud and my body rejected it. I am now 3 weeks postpartum with my first child and I am researching all my options of birth control before going to my 6 week checkup. I am not breastfeeding so from what I know I can pretty much do whatever I feel best. I really don’t want to have to go back on the pill if I don’t have to because it would be really inconvenient to have to remember to take a pill at the same time every day with a newborn! If I got a hormonal IUD would it likely reject again? Or could it have been the size of the paragard, my body didn’t like the copper, or another factor that caused the IUD to reject the first time?
