Metformin??

My doctor and I just discovered that I have cysts on my ovaries. And along with an irregular period and inability to lose weight, we think it’s PCOS. So, I’ve thought about asking her about metformin, for weight loss and period regularity. You guys have any luck with it?

I was on metformin due to pcos and trying to conceive. I actually got pregnant with all three pregnancies due to metformin.

I have PCOS as well and my periods are very irregular. I was prescribed metformin, progesterone, clomiphene. These were to help me have my periods regular and to become pregnant. I’m only on my 3rd day of them so I’m hoping for a great result!🤞🏻🙏￼ 
My only side effect is the metformin. It says to take with food but soon as I eat and take the pill I have an extreme case of diarrhea. 
If you have this problem take Imodium or at least a half a pill with the metformin. Hope this helps you!

Metformin is mostly helpful if you have insulin resistance... Wait til you get the blood tests results back and hear what your doctor recommends.

I’ve been on metformin for 15yrs. It helps a bit with my insulin resistance keeping my blood sugar in check, but I didn’t have much luck with it losing weight. I had to eat an insulin resistant diet with lots of whole foods.
