Anyone here really into philosophy?

I find it intriguing but i cant say i know a lot about it. The few philosophy classes i took back in college were great & i really enjoyed them.

One of my good friends is a philosophy major then realized he can’t do anything with a bachelors in philosophy so he went to law school. 😂

I prefer social sciences—philosophy is hard for me! On the other hand I always enjoyed theology/religion classes (so far learned about Christianity, Islam, and Buddhism) which I find have similar reasoning and analysis styles as philosophy but with that extra cultural/social dimension

Some of it, particularly in regards to ethics and how we see things and interpret truth (not the same as facts). Philosophy has changed things, and it has the potential to reframe thinking and help others see from different perspectives. 
That being said, other philosophy is navel-gazing nonsense to me. 
I enjoy debating over philosophical matters, but I wouldn’t dedicate my life to it.

I have taken a few philosophy courses. I started a minor in it then dropped it because I hate essays lol. I just woke up so I can’t remember much. I just like learning about different perspectives. I really like ancient philosophy but I mostly remember the modern philosophers. I like Descartes’ dream argument and sense deception idea. I liked reading about Spinoza. I hate Leibniz because I had to write an essay on stupid monadology and it was the worst thing I’ve had to do in college. I had to take a course in logic for my philosophy minor (attempt) and I loved that. Truth tables are my absolute favorite. I like to overthink things that are obvious so I guess that’s why I like this shit lol

I adore it! I think trying to figure out deeper meaning for things is something we should spend a lot of time on as a species. We used to try to learn so much and it feels like we just don’t anymore. I got into philosophy from ‘the good place’ and it just grew from there
