Ovulation question

First day of my last period was dec 24. I tested for like a week straight during my fertile period as per my apps and kept getting negatives.

Jan 15 I tested a positive.

I remember when I got pregnant with my daughter I was getting like 7 positives in a row ( I checked each day) and then clicked in to take a pregnancy test because I was supposed to be on my period!

Do people usually ovulate 10 days before there expected period?

I should be expecting my period Jan 24ish.

I’m wondering if I was really ovulating or am I just very early pregnant ?
