Arms tingling while laying down?? 3rd trimester Carpal tunnel?

When I was pregnant the first time I would get extremely tingly/numb hands and arms while laying down as soon as I got to my 3rd trimester. At first it started only when I was laying down, then later on it started getting worse throughout the day. It eventually got so bad that I would drop things that I’d be holding because I’d be in so much pain.

Here I am getting close to the 3rd trimester again and it’s starting all over again with the tingling pain while laying down. 
Just wondering if anyone else had this happen to them as well and what I can do to ease the pain from the tingling as I’m sure this will advance again!

I get carpal tunnel when I am pregnant. With my second it was pretty mild but this time around it is all day everyday and more painful than numbness. I can’t hold forks or pens, braid hair, do up buttons, etc. My DR gave me wrist braces to wear at night and they have been really helpful at reducing the numbness. Getting massages helps too as it removes excessive fluid from hands and wrists. I’m hoping it goes away as soon as the babies are born!

Sound like carpal tunnel.  I have carpal tunnel from my profession and whiplash twice, so mine started getting worse in the first trimester. It became where both arms would get achy and numb all the way up my shoulders no matter which side I slept on. I would wake up in agony.  Only thing that helped was wrist splints. I wear them at night on both wrists.  Now that I’m entering 3rd trimester, my fingers and hands get numb and tingly in the mornings and right before bed, especially if I’m laying down reading. It’s due to the swelling. My physiotherapist told me the nerve starts up under the large muscle in your shoulder that’s why the pain can travel up your arm if it’s bad.

I had carpal tunnel pain, tingling, numbness, & weakness the entire last half of my pregnancy. Wearing wrist braces helped, but I didn't get full relief until after my baby was born. It's due to all the excess fluids your body retains during pregnancy.

I’m not sure if carpal tunnel would cause the tingling sensation... that sounds more like a pinched nerve thing honestly. But it’s interesting it only happens close or in the 3rd trimester.
