January 2nd I found out I was pregnant after a year of trying. I made my 1st appointment for 2/4. On 1/9 I started spotting so DH called his parents to pick up DS (9) from the bus and we went to the er. While there they said it was a threatened miscarriage and that the ultrasound tech said they saw 2 sacs. We were told to follow up with my ob and I was able to get an earlier appointment on 1/15. I went to work on the 14th and started cramping and bleeding so we went back to the er to find out that I was miscarrying. 😭 We went to the ob the next day and the dr confirmed. We were devastated. This is my first miscarriage and I never imagined how hard it would be. I go back on Wednesday to have my levels rechecked. My dr was really nice and told us that we could start trying again as soon as the bleeding has stopped but idk if I’m mentally ready.

I guess one positive from all of this is we hadn’t told DS yet but I know that he realizes something is wrong, especially after he had to stay the night with my in-laws on a school night. I go back and forth on whether or not I should tell DS
