Unsupportive family member?

Does anyone have a family member that seems completely unsupportive of your pregnancy, where it’s like for whatever reason they are not even happy for you? How do you not let it get to you?

my husband’s family (other than his dad and cousin) act like I don’t exist. they haven’t shown any interest in my pregnancy and didn’t even come to our other daughters birthday party. I’m not sure what their issue is, but, as far as I’m concerned, good riddance. they don’t get to be involved. it hurt for a little while, but I’m over it now.

Yes - my sister. She called my husband and I arrogant for deciding to have a baby instead of help her. (Help her = offering her a free place to live and support her financially 100%) 
She has both mental health and physical health problems and has said some really nasty stuff to me. I’ve blocked her out of my life completely. It really sucks but I can’t have that negativity right now.

I know they would be excited for us but my MIL has made several comments recently and it really has kind of hurt my feelings. She will say things like “no more grandchildren right now” and then looks right at me. My hubs is the oldest, we have 2 kids, he has a younger brother, who just recently had baby #3 and his baby sister just got married. I try to not let it get to me b at the same time they probably won’t be the first people we tell when it happens.

I think a lot of people have someone like this in their family and the best way to not let it get to you is simply that. F*** them and f*** what they think, I've learned from experience that theres no reason to keep people around that dont make you feel loved and happy. Itll only bring you down and they obviously dont care so why care what they think?

You gotta be confident in your choice to have the baby. Not everyone will approve of what you, especially from the beginning. But I am sure they will come around if they are in your life on any regular basis.

Once you become a mom your world revolves around your baby, don’t let someones negativity ruin this wonderful beautiful miracle. THEY ARE IRRELEVANT!!

I have before. They are not obligated to be excited for me, or be interested in my pregnancy. 
I have a feeling when I finally tell my oldest she will not be excited at all.
