Anatomy scan ?

Can you have your anatomy scan at 23 weeks ? I am currently supposed to be 16+2 but I went to my ultrasound yesterday and they told me I was actually 16w5d so I’m 16w6d today. I have my anatomy scan scheduled for 22w3d but when I go I’ll be a actually 23 weeks? Is this an okay time to go has anyone else had there’s at 23 weeks ?

Previous comment is ridiculous. Viability has nothing to do with your ability to terminate the baby and everything to do with your baby’s ability to live outside the womb.
Anyway. I doubt a few days will make a difference :) it’s generally done between 18-22 weeks, because before then defects probably aren’t visible and after that point it becomes increasingly difficult to get proper measurements and good angles on organs since it’s getting more cramped as baby grows. But these weeks are guidelines for the scan and can be flexible by a few days. A doctor would be concerned about a 28 weeks scan. But I doubt a 23 week scan would be an issue.

Just contact a doctor. You’re gonna get different answers from different people who aren’t licensed to give you the advice you need.

I would just check with your dr whether it would be better to reschedule to be sure. As I understand it becomes more difficult to get the checks and measurements once the baby is a bit bigger, but I’m not sure from what moment that would be the case.

Anyway OP I’ll add that I would personally call my doctor and ask if they’d like me to reschedule as it is time sensitive.

You certainly can have it later, it is done around 20 wks due to the need for some women to terminate, since 24 weeks is a viable baby
