Is m appointment too early?

My af was due 1/13/2019. My first appointment/ultrasound is scheduled for 1/30/19. I’ll be about 6weeks and 3 days. Is that too early for an appointment? Will I even see anything on the ultrasound?

The first appointment usually isn’t an ultrasound, just paperwork and a health check.

My ob does a viability ultrasound the first visit to confirm. But I also have a history of mc.  At 6 weeks and 2 days abdominal us we saw a hb.

Normally your very first appointment is not the ultrasound. It would generally be too early for an ultrasound at that point. It’s usually just a confirmation appointment where they do a urine test and bloodwork to confirm the pregnancy. Then they will schedule the following appointment about 2-3 weeks after that for the dating ultrasound and usually for a pelvic exam and more bloodwork. The best time for an initial dating ultrasound, where you get the most accurate measurement for a due date, is when you’re around 8 weeks.

My OB doesn’t even see you until 8 weeks. But every OB is different. We did an ultrasound at that visit and quick visit with dr.
