When to stop waking premature baby in the middle of the night to eat?
I plan to speak with her paediatrician at her next appointment, but I was just wondering what other moms of preemie’s have been told. She is a few weeks old, past her birth weight and has never had any issues with blood sugar levels or anything like that. She didn’t have jaundice and seems to be doing great health wise. I’ve still been waking her every 3 hours to eat overnight but I have to wake her up every time, she’s never naturally awake at this point so I’m not entirely sure if she actually needs these extra feedings or if I could stretch it out even slightly to like 4 hours between or something? Just curious what other moms have been told about when to stop waking premature babies to feed in the middle of the night.
