I know it’s minor but we also want her nickname to be Ellie!

I prefer the bottom spelling, but either one would still work with Ellie as a nickname.

I like the second one better, (and I hear that's the way most people would spell it) but the nickname Ellie can work woth both spellings if that's the problem🤷🏻‍♀️. 
A girl from my school (I'm a teacher) was named Gabrielle, and when I thought most of the people probably just called her Gabby or something like that,(damn I was wrong😂!) she went by Ellie🤭😬😂🤨.
So, the fact is that if you want her nn to be Ellie, go for it, cause if a girl name Gabrielle could, you can di it too😂 (and it actually fits Eliana as well💖❤️)
