MFM appointment

So, I have some immune system issues and take several medications. We didn’t know I could get pregnant, but I got pregnant pretty quickly after stopping birth control. I ended up having a miscarriage at 9 weeks, last month. I saw my rheumatologist and he was very insistent that I see an MFM doctor before I get pregnant again/while trying. I made an appointment for next month to establish care have a preconception visit but I’m very nervous and anxious about the appointment. I feel like I don’t quite belong there because I am not pregnant yet. Has anyone had an appointment with an MFM doc and they weren’t pregnant yet? If so what was the appointment like?
