So my boyfriend and I have been on/off for going on six years now. We’ve never done anything special for Valentine’s Day but this year I want to do something nice. We’re both in a very good place on our own & with each other. We see each other on the weekends currently until we can move in together.

Should I do a small gift (material wise) such as hats, clothes, cologne - things he likes.

Should I do a thought gift such as writing a letter, making one of those “50 ways I love you” jars, or that sort of thing.

Or should I just shoot for both? A small thoughtful gift + a small materialistic gift?

We’re planning to stay together in a hotel for the weekend of the 14th. Any ideas on how to spice it up? I’ve seen all the rose petals/candles ideas but I’d be too ashamed to try it 🤣

I know he’ll love anything I come up with because he’s not expecting anything.

I’m not looking to blow $100000 on just Valentine’s Day but I do want to make it special and do something.

Ideas? Suggestions?
