Floor beds?!

Anyone on here using a floor bed for your little one? I’m considering trying it out with my 6 month old who mostly bedshares with us. I’d really like to continue nursing him until he is pretty much asleep. He hates the crib and always gets his chubby hams stuck in the rails, so I’m looking for some pros and cons of Montessori style floor beds!!

Yes! We currently have a full size mattress on the floor in her room, but it’s almost a foot tall and the height makes me nervous so we plan on buying a firm foam mattress from Ikea (only 4.5” tall!)

We do! We put her little mattress in the corner of our room every night and I flip it up during the day so I can workout in the space it usually takes up lol it’s nice because I can nurse her easily still throughout the night. We’re a young lil family and still live with our parents so a crib was never an option unfortunately but I think I’m gonna keep the floor beds forever! She hasn’t rolled off it yet also but we have a fluffy rug underneath it incase she does take a mid snooze tumble
