I have a crush...

So I have a crush on this boy, let’s call him Joe so I figured out about my crush on him during a camping trip that I went on for NHS. The only thing is that he is in 8th grade and I am in 7th and I know it’s young but still... one thing I was told before I actually opened up about it to my friends is that he likes one of my friends who is a 7th grader taking 8th grade classes. I’m a shy girl who is scared of rejection so I wouldn’t dare to tell him unless I got support. That’s just the way I am, but what should I do? I like him a lot I have for over a year. WHAT DO I DO? I recently added him on Snap and started a steak with him and we have been having short convos through there. Do you think there is any chance of him liking me? Even if it’s not now but eventually?
