Screaming two year old

Every single time my daughter doesn’t get her way, no matter how nicely I tell her no or whatever, she starts instantly screaming at the top of her lungs. I’m a first time mom, I don’t know what to do. The only thing I’ve done so far is I’ll walk her to her room and have her sit in a chair in there for a couple minutes while she calms down. I am really at a loss on how to handle the tantrums. Please help me 😭😭😭 ignoring her and letting her scream isn’t an option because my husband works from a home office.
