I'm back! My birth story and an update!

So I was pretty active on here during my pregnancy, but then crap hit the fan once I hit my 3rd trimester. I was diagnosed with preeclampsia and delivered at 35 weeks after some alarming symptoms arose. I was admitted on Thursday and baby girl didn't make an appearance until SUNDAY via C-section. Once she was born, she spent 16 days in the NICU and I was SO not ready to talk about it because I felt so broken and felt like a failure for having to deliver her early and causing her to spend time in the hospital. She couldn't breathe on there own at the beginning and only weighed 5lbs. So she was born May 12, 2019 and even though she's "8" months old, she was born 5 weeks early, so she's developmentally a 7 month old. Here is a picture of her when she was first born.

I just felt weird coming on the "June" group for a while after she was born because of the situation, but I've spent the last hour reading everyone else's posts and I'm so happy for everyone and love seeing everyone's beautiful babies! Hopefully I'll tune is more often than once every 8 months 😂
