Resend the card?

Question

So a coworker had to put their dog down right before Christmas. I mailed a card shortly after Christmas, it just came back in the mail yesterday because I mixed up the address. I wrote 915 when it is 951. 
Should I resend the card 
Resend it with a note about it being so late
Just not send it since it's been over a month since they put their dog down. 
This coworker lives a few states away so I dont see them in person often. I'm not sure what's the best policy.

I would keep it in that same envelope, put the whole card in a bigger envelope and put a quick note in it, she will see the original Mailing and that u just messed up the address

I would still send it, but definitely give a note with an explanation. Just because a lot of time has passed doesn’t mean she’s not still hurting
