Has anyone taken babe to the dentist yet?

I've read not till after their first birthday, after their first tooth, I've even seen some not taken till 2 or 3 years.

We've got 6 teeth so far and I don't know if I should start looking to find a dentist or wait. We have a 9 month check in a couple weeks so I will likely ask then. Just curious if anyone has already gone. How did it go?

Side note... Does anyone's LO grind their teeth? Gah the sound makes me want to hurl.
