Preterm labor?

I have been incredibly tired today, horrible backache, fairly frequent Braxton Hicks and some pretty bad cramping. I was sent to the hospital yesterday because I was having contractions 1-2 minutes apart and my cervix is “soft”, she said if she would have pushed on it, it would’ve opened 1cm. After they gave me fluids my contractions were 6-7 minutes apart and they sent me home. Am I in preterm labor for those of you that have experienced this? I’m 33 weeks and 5 days. When your cervix softened, did it just get worse? I’m not really sure what to do, I’m hesitant to go back to the hospital because I’m stubborn but little girl is moving around great.
