Cold baby?

Question

Can baby get too cold in a 70 degree house with just a long sleeved sleeper on? It’s not fleece or anything like that.

My 5 week old is either in a onesie and a long-sleeved, fleece wearable blanket or a footed pajama with a cotton sleepsack with no sleeves. I have heard that you should dress them in one additional layer than you are dressed in. Which means if im wearing pajamas and a blanket to sleep (2 layers) baby should be dressed in 3 layers. That being said I’ve never dressed him in 3 layers, only 2. His hands are always cold with 2 layers but his body is always very warm.

Yes, each baby is different and they cant regulate their body temperature, the temperature should be between 68-72 farenheit, what a lot of people don't understand is that it doesn't mean to put the temperature to that in your house but that the babies room is measuring between that. I had premature boys my house always needs to he at 75-77 in AC and 78-80 in heater because my children's room get extremely  cold about 4 or 5 degrees lower.

No. We keep our house 70 to 71 and my baby sweats. She cant wear a fleece sleeper because she will sweat bad so I just dress her in a cotton sleeper.

I was told their temperature is just like yours, if you’re cold they are cold, if you’re hot they are probably hot too. So just think comfortable. My son sleeping son short sleeve onesie under regular long sleeve, footie pjs. Just enough to keep him comfortable nothing extra. And like others said, I keep an eye on the temp in his room because sometimes it’s gets warmer in there than the rest of the house.

My 5 month old sweats like crazy , he sleeps in my house at 73° Ina short or long sleeve onesie and doesn’t like blankets, he kicks them off. 
And He’s usually wet in sweat by the morning.
If I take him out in public on a cool 70° day  (I live in Florida)  I only put him in a onesie and sweat pants and bring a blanket if he needs it , but he’s usually always warm. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Age makes a big difference but my 5 month old preemie wears cotton sleepers usually and I keep the house at 64-66.  I do put a sleep sack on him if he sleeps alone but he’s plenty warm on me.  70 - I wouldn’t even use a sleep sack.  I would have up until 1-2 months though.  They don’t regulate their body temp as well yet at that age.
