Best time to tell employer about ivf?

Question

I will be open with my boss about going thru 
IVF (he knew when i was doing 
IUI also, as i had many appointments)
Just wondering if it is better to tell work a couple weeks prior to starting- so they have a heads up
Or to wait until right before?

I told my boss before treatment started. Sometimes I need time out last minute and I want them to be aware of the circumstances.

I would tell them now. You aren’t going to be able to plan time off ahead, but depending on what your job is it may be helpful for them to know farther in advance.

I told my boss as soon as I knew I would be starting . I work for the nhs and they have an ivf policy for leave. I took half days of leave for the scans

I think you should notify your boss .
Because you will be going to appointments almost daily so it’s better to plan the work load so it won’t affect the work deliverables etc.
