Anyone ever had to have a redraw for NIPT test?

My results came back and it said I need to redraw. Has this happened to anyone else?

this happened to me girl & I didn’t redraw bc I was so upset and I just waited until my 20w to confirm everything was okay and it was :) 
here is my baby boy now at 31 weeks😍

Just came looking for the same answers. So upset about it. I definitely got the feeling that it was a result they wanted to confirm before telling me. They're even sending it to a different lab and I had to go in tonight - they just reached me and said come right in. Keep me posted, 💗

It’s common if you’re to early and the baby hasn’t shed enough DNA into your blood. It’s almost a little more common if your BMI is high.

I just had a redraw two days ago, but my midwife says it’s standard to draw twice for the hospital I go to 🤷‍♀️ My first draw came back all normal with no cause for any concern.

It's never happened to me, but I know it can definitely happen if they cant find enough usable fetal dna in your blood. This can happen if the original blood was drawn too early, if you are overweight/obese, or if the specimen doesnt meet certain quality standards (sat too long before testing, wasnt stored at the correct temp etc). Dont let it worry you, though - it's actually pretty common and has no reflection upon any of your test results.
