Anyone in for surgical tech?? Or currently working as one..

I’m think about doing it but I’m scared I’m not too smart for it ...
Is it complicated? Advice ? Any experiences of yourself in this career path? Pros and cons?

Answer

It’s hard. Not going to lie. School was hard and working the job is not much easier. And you need to be tough spirited. Because you will be yelled at a lot and made out to feel stupid by doctors when you’re in the wrong. Surgery is very stressful and the surgery team typically tends to take it out on one another. I myself feel too dumb to do my job most days but as we were always taught, being surgical tech is a never ending learning experience. Even if you have worked every day for 30 years, you will still learn something new every day.
