Okay so. My fiancé & I live in 2 bedroom apartment. One room for us & the other room for our babygirl’s future nursery. We’ve been living here for about 3 months now. & we signed a lease for 13 months.

Everything is great EXCEPT. Our downstairs neighbors & next door neighbors smoke. When we signed the lease, it said it was NO SMOKING so thats what we believed.

At first the smell wasn’t too bad but now it’s just horrible. I am completely annoyed cause my whole home smells like cigarettes & weed. I can’t even open our balcony sliding door cause they also smoke out side & it goes in my home. Our clothes & bed sheets smell disgusting. Our babygirl is due in 5 weeks. & I really don’t want her to breathe in that smell, or even stink like it.

I’ve been wanting to setup her nursery room, but I can’t stand the smell & want to move out. I know the manger could only do so much. She could tell the tenants to stop but I know they won’t listen.

My fiancé & I are both 21 years, this our first home & we have no idea how bad breaking a lease is. Will our credit go down?

I’m just so annoyed cause we thought it was a NON SMOKING apartment complex, just like we signed in the paper work.

I need help, what can I do? 😩🥺
