IVF Birth Control and heavy bleeding

So I was put on to type hormonal birth control to suppress my ovaries for a month my IVF got pushed back due to needing surgical clearance for my heart. And so they told me to let myself have a period I'm moderately bled the whole time I've been on the hormonal birth control and whenever I let myself have a. For like 5 days and only have one to two days that are like heavy but not this heavy and I contacted my fertility clinic yesterday to let them know and ask what to do and they told me they would tell my doctor and I've heard nothing back does anybody else ever have problems with telling the nurse or any nurse and they say they'll tell the doctor and the doctor never gets back to you I don't know what to do I feel like I'm killing my lining right now.
