How long acute incisional pain lasts?

Question

So I had my c section 1 week ago exactly and still doing the Tylenol and Advil regimen every 4 and 6 hours bc I’m still having pain at the incision. Wondering how long this acute pain lasts and whether the meds are even helping this type of pain at this time. It’s not severe pain, mostly dull achy with intermittent sharp pains here/there. I’m also still icing and using abdominal binder hospital gave me to help. Thanks for any input!

It’s different for every woman and every c-section. I felt great with my first within a week despite many complications, my second was about two weeks and my pain lasted about six weeks with my third.

I made sure I moved around a bit but I also didn't push myself to hard. Rested when I needed to and I was moving fine within a week. 
However, the pain at the actual incision itself, like the pain kinda at skin level and not that deep internal pain, I still get sometimes and I am 12.5 weeks pp. My incision site will still get real itchy on and off too. I think it's the nerves trying to heal but I'm not sure.

I stopped using the binder after 4 days and walked around as much as I could.  It was amazing how well I felt a week after mine.  I would recommend the same for you and you will notice a difference right away.  By 2 weeks I felt like I could work out again.
