I want to transfer my little boy into his own room for the first time tonight, anyone have any tips or advise I haven’t got a clue where to start!!

We used the Ferber method with out daughter and it worked very well for her!! First time it took 2 nights and then we recently had to do it again bc she had the Flu and was back in our bed for almost 2 weeks. 
This is an example of the timing for you. All up to you on what choice you decide and what works best for you and your child!!

Be patient. Know it might take a bit of time. Know that it's an adjustment. Know there might be more wake ups. 
Might be different if your babe is sleeping through already. Mine is definitely not, so there were a lot of wake ups at first, but we're slowly getting to only one or 2 wake ups for breastfeeds after bed time.

The thought of it is more hard than actually doing it I promise! You’ll all get much better sleep. Try spending more time in that room during the day so he gets comfortable with it.. offer a stuffed animal or comforting blankey at bedtime. My son also sleeps with a sound machine/ nightlight (the Hatch) and that has helped so much.

I slept on the floor on a mattress the first 2 nights just to get him used to the room with me in there. Looking back it was probably more for me than him though!

Do it sooner than later. I can’t tell you how at this age because, From experience. I still have a three year old in my bed😏 my 1 year old has been in her crib for over 6 months. Lesson learned.
