Can I begin a bachelors degree as a high school graduate?

I’m 22 years old and graduated high school back in 2016. I’m currently a dispatcher for law enforcement, I work all the time & have a spouse and child and a mortgage - my only option to go back to school is online. I am looking into getting my bachelors of Psychology & eventually my masters. I have no college experience. Where do I start? There is a local state college down the road from me but they do not offer a bachelors degree is Psychology, I would have to do online for UF (University of Florida). Where do I start? Do I need pre req classes before jumping into a bachelors program? Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question.

High school diploma with a certain gpa and SATs/ACTs. The information for admission is on a school's website. You can usually do it all online. Just follow their steps. Good luck!

Nope, if you have high school diploma, just apply to the colleges you want , no prereq classes needed for a bachelor program. Just check if you need to take the SAT or ACT exams before entering .

Yes for both. Typically you can apply to any university and start towards a bachelor's program and that track will include your prerequisites.  Or you can go to community college and complete your prerequisites for cheap there. 
Since you live in Florida, know that graduating with and A.A. or A.S. from a state community college will give you automatic acceptance to a state university.  So you can take your prerequisites at community college, and just tell the advisor to make sure your classes include those needed to gain acceptance to the psychology program at university. You should be able to do nearly all your classes online.

I think u d apply forst and see what financial help is available.Honestly as a mom u may be able to do better taking a few classes at the local college.My situation is different bc my mom died so I was a ward of the state.My college got paid for n I was able to borrow 1500 each semester ask for more of that wasmt enough.Trust me I didnt do this the right way n wemt to expensive technical schools so messedbuo some money.But I know that scholarships are available for parents alot of the time.Psychology has a lot of liberal arts classes.I d call that community school n ask for an appointment w a counselor.He / she can tell u if pursuing a degree in liberal arts( even though u want psychology ) is a good plan.Heres a TIP
.When getting Federal Student Aid U can only take out ( if available) loans if U claim a degree program. U may be able to get the whole thing paid for ( may depend on your parents or lack of ) ..U may be able to take out loans for money w whatever ( another tip..they dont like to hear u want to buy a car..say anything else ex: living expenses.So u go online and searxh  for FAFSA then click apply..u can do this at the college too if big forms freak u out.U ll need your taxes from last yr or a reason why u didint file.All this said I'm pretty sure On line colleges ( the big ones) accept credits from all other schools.Hope this helps.The counselors live to help n if decide to start at the community level n u register early u can likely get online classes Best of luck
