I am so scared ... this could be a long post I’m sorry.
Ive has two DDS already both born exactly 35 weeks both PPROM so I’ve kinda a bit of experience with this now.
At 33+1 I came to hospital in full labour 4cm dialated and contractions every 3-5 minuets things were moving fast. After 13 hours they managed to stop contractions and labour.
They started steroid shots and would continue medication to stop contractions until the shots were complete in 48 hours. They also found two infections one of which they still haven’t told me what or where it is. One they picked up from a swab of the fluid around the amniotic sac. So began two types of antibiotics.
At 33+4 my waters broke and I was still dilated the same.
They have had me in bed for the last 24 hours since my waters broke waiting for contractions to start and nothing is happening.
Now after my waters been broken for 24 hours they have told me they will not be checking my cervix or an ultrasound to monitor water level and the placenta. I have to stay laid here possibly until 36 weeks if I don’t contract normally.
I am extremely concerned and confused... firstly the risk of leaving baby in after 24 hours of water breaking is incase of infection. I already have an infection there!!?
I also have gestational diabetics that I am now having to have insulin shots for as my levels are too high my blood pressure is regulating at 49/92.
My chest is so tight the and I can’t breath the poor girl in the bed next to me who hasn’t spoken a word to me since I got here due to her being so unwell rang her bell for the dr as she was worried for my breathing during the night.
I feel so lost and alone. I am English currently living in Germany with husband and children.
My father has flown out to help take care of our two daughters at home.
I haven’t felt my son move or kick since yesterday and when expressing all these worries and concerns all I have been told is they will just wait it’s all ok.
Am I over reacting and just been crazy?
