Sciatica 😫😫

Absolutely crippled with sciatica on my right side. Waiting on a physio therapy appointment. Has any got any advice on how to relieve? I’ve been living on a hot water bottle and doctor has prescribed codeine based tablets to use in the short term. Thanks in advance... 😊
