I just pooped, and I noticed a stringy thing sticking out from one of my pieces of feces. It was too long, and honestly too thick/almost hollow-looking to be from anything stringy I could've possibly eaten in the last week. It looked EXACTLY like the pictures of tapeworms on the internet. Immediately I guessed that it was a tapeworm or part of one. I didn't get a picture myself, because I was trying to get it out of the toilet and ended up breaking it and making the water murky with the rest of my excrement.

I don't eat much pork, but I eat sushi and steak often enough. With how big it was, I'm guessing it was probably a year old. (If it was a tapeworm) Oh gods here I am, a grown woman crying and panicking like a little kid 😭

I hate worms. I can't even look at an earthworm without wanting to vomit and cry. I have panic attacks if I see one, or think of one. I went 6 years without eating spaghetti because I fainted every time I saw it. I'm not joking when I say worms and parasites are my biggest fear. I'm sitting here shaking and I've already puked twice thinking about the possibly of some actually inside me. I can't calm down. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow already set up, and I called my local clinic to test my feces this afternoon. So, I'm clearly on top of getting this figured out. But in the meantime, has this ever happened to anyone else?? Can they be bad? How long does it take for the meds to work? Is there any advice anyone can give me to ease my fears for now??
