Ovulation confusion

Ladies, I need some help with ovulation! I was on birth control for years and I finally came off 7 months ago. The first month off I ovulated but after that I never ovulated again. My period finally became normal again, about 2 months ago and I just texted and it’s still negative for ovulation. We are trying to conceive and it’s getting very frustrating because I can’t conceive if I don’t ovulate. Please help. Has anything in particular helped anyone start to ovulate ?
