Metallic taste?

Those that have had the metallic taste due to pregnancy, is it in your mouth or throat? My throat taste like blood and was wondering if this is from hormones or something else.

I had it with my first and everything I tasted was metallic and weird tasting for a few hours. I don’t remember it tasting like blood in my throat, but I’m sure everyone’s version of it is a little different.

If it's in your throat do you potentially have a nose bleed? Or had one while you slept?

When I had it it omlynhappened one time and I remember it being in my mouth. I never followed up because it happened just the one time and never again and I read it's really common it's just your hormones

I would say it's hormones or to have our doctor check you for any possible vitamin or iron deficiencies. It's better to be safe than sorry. I went through the same thing with my daughter for a couple weeks and it went away on it's own. I was in the first trimester at that time.
I am now pregnant with my son and haven't experienced it. Make sure to take your prenatal daily because just missing one can throw off your body.
Babies are demanding and so affect your overall health.
