Who should babysit brother
So our son will be 16 months when I’m due with his little brother. My in-laws live just down the road from us so it made since to ask them to babysit while we are at the hospital, but as we get closer I’m getting a little uneasy. I’m sure it’s just because we’ve never left him overnight with anyone but both sets of grandparents have babysat a lot. My parents only live 30 minutes away but in the opposite direction of our hospital, but I know they would be willing to come pick him up if I wanted them to. Plus I might be induced so if it’s scheduled it would be really easy for my parents to come get him. It’s not that I don’t trust my in-laws, but this is their first grandkid and it’s the first baby my father in law has really been around and he still does this he shouldn’t, mostly things like raising his voice at my son when he starts to get fussy. He doesn’t do it to be mean, he’s just a loud person, that was honestly the very first thing I thought about him when I met him. I completely trust my mother in law though. I’m just not sure if I’m comfortable leaving him with them for a few days but I don’t want to be rude and just say no I change my mind my parents are going to babysit. Maybe I should do a test run and have them watch him over night while I’m still in town so I can get my nerves out. I’m almost hoping they admit me during an appointment where my mom is already babysitting so I won’t hurt anyone’s feelings.
