When did you moms start baby on purées?

My daughter is 3 and a half months and I want to start her on purées soon. I’m trying really hard to wait till after her 4 month check up but she stares us down when we eat and I feel bad 😂

Omg please no! No food before 6 months! What is this obsession with feeding your babies so soon! Grabbing and looking at food is NOT. A sign to begin solids. The AAP recommends 6 months for many, many reasons. Please research this.

My son was around 4 months when our pediatrician gave us the go-ahead to start, but we waited until almost 6 months. At 6 months you can do BLW and skip the purees altogether so it’s worth it to wait! Most websites recommend waiting until 6 months these days also.

Don't do it before 4 months. And I personally would wait till 6...i started weaning at 4 months with my first and 6months with my second and it's so much better this time round... They were both showing all the 'signs' around 4 months. Also if you are going to start skip the cereal... Its empty calories, I'd go straight to fruit and veg

6 months. The soonest it’s safe is 4 months but they recommend waiting until 6. It’s super fun to feed them purées at first, but trust me, it quickly turns into a chore, a messy messy chore.

My LO does the same thing lol she stares HARD when we’re eating 😂 I stopped eating in front of her. She’s only gonna be 3 months lol. I’m gonna start about 5ish months. That’s what I did with my first born. I’m gonna do beechnuts oatmeal cereal and purées.
