Mucous plug!?

Sooooo I’m 38+5 and just went to the toilet.... there was literally the biggest lump of what looked like a booger/snot and was clear and thick?! This hasn’t happened to me before as I’m a FTM. Am I gonna go into labour soon, what’s going on?

That happened to me with my daughter, too. I didn’t go into labor until I was 40weeks though lol. It’s probably your mucus  plug and your cervix thinning, If I was you I would get my hospital bag ready just in case. You could go into labor in a couple of days or weeks, but it’s coming soon. I wish you an easy delivery. 🙏😄

Most like your mucus plug especially if it was slightly pink tinged. Doesn't necessarily mean you'll go into labour soon (like next few days) but a good sign things are progressing xx

with my first i didn’t lose it at all. 
with my second i lost pieces of my mucus plug for days and then the day i lost my bloody show i went into labor.
it’s not an indication of labor as the mucus plug can grow back but in my case once i lost the bloody show ( looks like mucus plug but bloody) is when i started contraction and went into labor

Okay so I just asked my sister who has seven children, she said once your mucus plug falls out shortly after you will begin your later. but she also said that for different people it's different so it may take you a little longer to go into labor seeing how your a ftm.
