Today my husband and I stopped into McDonald's with our daughter. just to get a quick bite before we did our grocery shopping. We are the only customers in the lobby at the time. I couldn't help not not to hear a conversation between 2 McDonald's employees. (They were talking very loud) it started out about there moms and dads not being good parents and how they were absent. Then I can hear one girl ask the other if she ever wanted kids. This is the part that broke my heart and what actually had me up and out of the restaurant much soon then planned. The girl replied with "yes I want a boy. If I found out it was a girl I'd definitely get an abortion. You know just throw the whole kid away". I just cant imagine anyone getting a abortion for that reason. Just been on my mind. And definitely in my feelings about it. I'm 16 weeks pregnant with a little boy and my daughter is going to be 9 months on the 8th. I understand and believe in pro choice. I just never thought the gender of a baby would ever be reason for abortion. Please are my feelings wrong? Do women actually get abortions for this reason?
