FemVue Review

I wanted to share my experience with the FemVue procedure, because I was extremely nervous to have it done and couldn't find many patient reviews on it since it is so new.. I would have liked to have found some information on what it was like.
FemVue is a newer way to do an HSG and allows the physician to check your tubes and the lining of the uterine wall all at once. The whole thing took ten minutes and was very easy.
I took three ibuprofen before the procedure and experienced very little discomfort. The cathater they use is so small and it just felt like a little pressure and made me feel a little queasy for about 10 seconds until it was in. Then it was over. They flush the uterus with saline and air bubbles and that part you can't even feel. Removing the cathater was completely painless as well.
Overall this procedure was very quick and I experienced minimal discomfort at most. And it can be done in your doctors office. Highly recommend this over the HSG.
Hope this helps :)
