When to order breast pump

First time mom.. when should I apply for a pump through insurance? I’m currently 19 weeks.

I’d call your insurance company and ask what they cover and when to order. Mine, I couldn’t order until 30 days prior to my due date- others might be more flexible. Just call the number on the back of your card- they’ll be able to help. They also might have a list of approved vendors you can order through- and you can do some research since it’s still early.

My insurance said I could order whenever I wanted, but it wouldn’t be shipped until 30 days before my due date. Well idk why, but they shipped it well before that. 🤷‍♀️

I ordered mine as soon as my pregnancy made it past 12 weeks and was confirmed by my doctor. Some insurance carriers make you wait, but mine didnt. I'm going to do the same again this time around!
