Should I switch OB’s??? Pretty upset after our first appointment
I’ve had vaginal inflammation for over a month that’s resulted in me being uncomfortable and unable to engage with my hubby sexually. I saw my OB for the first time today (10weeks along) and he did a pH test to see it come back very dark green showing my pH has been really thrown off by this pregnancy.
All of my questions were answered with “I don’t know if that’ll help” or “there’s no science behind it” or “the science is wrong” he is an older man that is primarily a midwife but I feel so clueless after this appointment
After all of that and all of the discussions he left me with “if I had a vagina I would break open probiotics and stick the powder inside your vagina and see if that works” when I asked for how long I should do that he responded “I don’t know there’s not a lot of science behind it” ...
I’m so frustrated and uncomfortable and looking for any advice when it comes to restoring a healthy vaginal pH... also I primarily want to be seen by a general OB, and due to scheduling I’m supposed to bounce between this midwife as well as an OB whom I won’t be meeting until the end of March.
He was very kind, but i just feel like I shouldn’t be leaving appointments so clueless and out of answers? This is my first baby and I just want to ensure I’m receiving the best care & instructions
