Labor!?!?

I am 36 weeks along went to my check up today I was 1  Centimeters Dilated and that was at 11:15 now it 4:50 and I am having some cramps and tightness where it feel like I have to poop ?????

Braxton Hicks will feel like tightness and if you chug some water and lay down they will probably subside. Contractions will become more painful and more regular which is why you’re told to time them. If they are coming at regular intervals, such as every 5-10 minutes, it never hurts to get checked

I’m 35 weeks- 2 cm 50% effaced and soft.. I was like this but 3 cm my last pregnancy for weeks..

Cervical checks can cause cramping and even a little bit of blood. Call if you are worried! Or If you feel it gets stronger then it never hurts to call.

I was at 4 cm for weeks and still had to be induced at 38 weeks for high BP with my 2nd. I don’t actually understand why doctors check cervixs this early on because it often gives women a sense of impending birth which is not often the case. Like other commenters said, cervix checks can cause cramping and spotting. So unless they get worse, closer together or you see bright red blood like a period or you start leaking fluid I wouldn’t worry too much yet.

You can be a few cm dilated for weeks. If contractions start/continue regularly than call your doc.

I get heaps of horrible cramps if i ever get checked. Its most likely that. Most people are 1cm by now so its no worry

I think those are braxton hicks. Try to drink water and change positions to see if it goes away. If your cramps are consistent with the timing then it might be labor
