Over feeding formula?

Hello
Today I took my daughter to her two month check up. This was our first time with this pediatrician. She comes in looks at my daughters weight and height, the first thing she says is someone needs to go on a diet. 
I daughter 4 oz of formula every 3-4 hours ( when she wakes up and fuses for food. I’m now super  paranoid I’m over feeding! 
How much did your baby’s eat at this age?

My little boy weighs 12lbs and eats 6oz every 4-5 hours...I’m sorta disgusted your pediatrician said she needs to go on a diet. Please consider changing who you go to :(

Any ‘doctor’ that tells you to put a baby on a diet is ridiculous and I would automatically not value their medical advice or opinion. Babies DO not go on a diet, what a crazy world we live in 🤦🏻‍♂️

That’s absurd. My son is 3 weeks old. We were told the baby will tell us when he is hungry and feed him as much as he wants at this stage.

The Dr is an idiot, generally a baby eats 1-1.5 Oz for every hour.
So if your baby eats every 4 hours you would expect baby to drink 4-6 Oz.

You shouldn't put a baby on a diet... also my pediatrician tried to tell me my son was over weight because his height and weight didn't match the growth chart that the go by..

That’s rude! At that age my son was eating 4-6oz about every 3 hours and he was a little chunker but his dr never said anything about it!

Baby knows when it’s hungry and will eat until satisfied. I would go find a new doctor
