Do you have a dishwasher?

I know this might sound random. I don't have a dishwasher and I was just listening to a book and it implied it was unusual/unheard of not to have one. Maybe it varies a bit in different countries.

We didn’t have one growing up but my parents got one shortly after I went to college. The only places I’ve lived without one (other than growing up) were shitty apartments I had in college. I wouldn’t rent a place without one now and when I buy a house it will have a dishwasher for sure.

We have one but are repurposing the area with drawers for food because we don't use dishwashers.

I don’t think is unusual at all. I know someone who doesn’t own an oven (not for lack of money) Dishwasher you can live without it’s not a big deal.

I’ve had with and without growing up and I know I never want without again. My husband and I bought our house 3years and a dishwasher was the #1 must. I was not buying a house that didn’t have a dishwasher.

We’re in Canada and I can’t imagine not having one! My friend built a house a few years ago and didn’t put a space for one in her kitchen cause she said she wouldn’t use one. I told her she would regret it once she had kids...now she has a son and definitely wishes she didn’t have a pile of dishes to wash every day lol

Yes we do now and I've lived where we didnt and I hated it. I will never not have one
