I didn't have a cervical exam at all with my first pregnancy. My water broke on it's own at 38w+5

No but I won’t be getting them this pregnancy, because they’re very uncomfortable to me.

I’ve never had a cervical exam, but I know 3 friends whose water broke the same day they had a cervical exam. There are some studies that say cervical exams can increase the risk of premature rupture of membranes.
